CAIRO: A Cairo court has ordered star Zamalek club football players Mido and Shikabalah to one month in prison and a LE 50 (approximately $9) bail for assaulting three students and trashing their vehicle. The Zamalek team players engaged in a physical fight with three young fans after Shikabalah reportedly refused to take a picture with them. The argument between the fans and the players soon escalated into a physical confrontation where the players smashed one of the student's car. Mido and Shikabalah play for local team Zamalek, which recently drew to its long-time rival al-Ahly in a match that witnessed a scuffle towards the end of the match, where Zamalek Manager Hossam Hassan grabbed al-Ahly's coach Manuel Jose's arm in a move that cost both teams financial penalties and has seen Hassan suspended from participating in two future matches.
