Egypt's Juhayna donates to Tahya Misr Fund for hepatitis C cures
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 21 - 06 - 2018

Juhayna, Egypt's biggest listed producer of packaged juice and dairy products, has recently donated 15 million Egyptian pounds ($837,525) to Tahya Misr Fund, which was launched by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to support national projects.
The donation will go for the treatment of hepatitis C virus.
Since its establishment, Tahya Misr Fund has helped in the treatment of more than 160,000 patients as part of a national joint plan with the Ministry of Health to achieve global recovery rates from hepatitis C virus and eliminate waiting lists for unprivileged people.
The fund has also generated a specialised hepatitis virus C centre in Luxor, designated to serve underprivileged patients in the city as well as neighbouring provinces by offering free treatment.
Juhayna said its contribution to the fund comes as part of its constructive developmental and social role towards spreading health awareness and supporting abundant initiatives. Nevertheless, since 2015, Juhayna conglomerated with Baheya Foundation for early breast cancer detection and treatment. This contributed in the attainment of high recovery rates and augmented Egyptian awareness about the significance of periodic and early detection of breast cancer.
The company's interest in the health sector is aligned with its keening leadership to persistently postulate nutritious safe products that meet all economic and social requirements for the Egyptian society, Juhayna further said in a statement.
This has made Mohamed Amin Ibrahim, General Secretary of Tahya Misr Fund, honoured Juhayna, which was represented by the its chief executive Saif Thabit. This gallant acknowledgement was for Juhayna's incessant efforts towards the development of the Egyptian society and it's remarkable purging of health challenges in Egypt.
