12 Egyptian firms to take part in Heimtextil Russia on September
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 23 - 06 - 2016

Around 12 Egyptian firms are set to take part in the International Trade Fair for Home Textiles, Floor Coverings and Interior Furnishings, Heimtextil Russia on 20-23 September 2016.
An official at Egyptian Home Textile Export Council (HTEC) clarified that this participation comes as pursuant to council's plan to boost sector's exports to prominent markets notably the Russian one.
Participants of Heimtextil Russia are manufacturers, wholesale and retail traders as well as designers, architects and representatives of contract business.
He added that the purpose of Egypt's participation in Heimtextil Russia is to make use of the Russian ban on Turkish exports –notably on the textile products- by replacing them with Egyptian products.
HTEC is currently studying a number of mechanisms to enhance Egypt's presence in the Russian markets, the official pointed out.
He said that the council aims at boosting textile exports and overcoming obstacles that face the sector notably the hike in public services prices, i.e. water, sewage, electricity, and natural gas, which soared in less than two years.
Despite those obstacles, the council cares to open new markets for textile products and increase exports volume that jumped by 350 percent from 2004 to 2014, the official said.
Home Textile Export Council received an invitation from Egypt Service Office in Ethiopia to take part in Hotel Show Ethiopia that will take place in Addis Ababa from 9th June to the 12th June 2016.
It showcases products like To Encourage and Furnish Innovative Guide to The Industry,Share knowledge and Experience,To Build Hospitality Trade Platform etc. in the Hotel, Restaurant & Catering industry.
