Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty met Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on Monday to discuss developments in the Middle East and the Balkans. They stressed the importance of reaching peaceful solutions to ongoing conflicts to preserve the unity and stability of states and to achieve security and development for their peoples. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 20th Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia. On bilateral relations, Abdel-Aty underlined the need to build on progress made in recent years to enhance economic, trade, and investment ties, serving the interests of the Egyptian and Albanian peoples. Both sides affirmed their keenness to continue consultation and coordination on issues of mutual concern and to strengthen cooperation bilaterally and in multilateral frameworks.
