Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty reiterated Egypt's unwavering commitment to supporting Comoros, underlining the deep historical ties between the two nations. During a phone call on Sunday with Comorian Foreign Minister Mohamed Mbaye, Abdel-Aty expressed Egypt's readiness to provide technical expertise and training across various sectors, highlighting Cairo's keenness to back development efforts in African countries. He stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in education, health, and capacity-building, and called for expanding joint efforts to activate and broaden existing cooperation frameworks. The call also addressed regional issues of mutual concern, including developments in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea, as well as coordination within the African Union and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. For his part, Souef expressed appreciation for Egypt's pivotal role in supporting African causes and voiced his country's eagerness to deepen bilateral relations and benefit from Egypt's expertise in advancing Comoros' national development programmes.
