The total trade volume between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates rose to $4.8 billion during H1 2025, compared with $2.7 billion in the same period of 2024, an increase of 77.7 per cent, as per recent figures from the state statistics agency CAPMAS said on Tuesday. Egypt's exports to the UAE reached $3.8 billion in H1 2025, up from $1.5 billion in the same period of 2024, marking a 153.3 per cent increase. While imports from the UAE fell to $1 billion in H1 2025, down from $1.2 billion in the same period of 2024, a 16.6 per cent decline. Top Egyptian exports to the UAE: * Pearls and precious stones: $3.2 billion * Electrical machinery: $151 million * Fruits and vegetables: $111 million * Vehicles and tractors: $33 million * Prepared vegetables: $26 million Main imports from the UAE: * Copper and its products: $293 million * Plastics: $174 million * Steel and its products: $83 million * Machinery and electrical equipment and parts: $68 million * Aluminium and its products: $31 million UAE investments in Egypt reached $2.2 billion in the first half of FY 2024/2025, up from $2.1 billion in the same period of 2023-24, while Egyptian investments in the UAE rose by 21.7 per cent to $750.1 million in H1 of FY 2024-25 against $616.2 million during the same period in FY 2023-24, the report added.
