Egypt's National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) signed a cooperation protocol on Thursday with the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at the New Cairo Technological University (NCTU) to strengthen food safety systems and public health, the Cabinet said. The agreement sets a framework for developing skilled technical staff, supporting food control systems, implementing training programmes, and advancing research in laboratory analysis and food risk assessment. The partnership aligns with Egypt's Vision 2030 strategy and President Abdel Fattah El‐Sisi's call for greater collaboration between state institutions and research bodies to meet future labour market needs, the statement said. It is part of the NFSA's broader strategy to forge institutional partnerships, enhance integration between regulatory and scientific work, and support sustainable development and food security.
