The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Deputy Secretary-General Pedro Manuel Moreno commended Egypt for making significant strides in improving its food supply chain system, the Cabinet said in a statement on Monday. He highlighted the government's recent initiatives to increase storage capacity, oversee strategic commodity reserves, and enhance distribution infrastructure, according to the Cabinet's statement. Moreno expressed UNCTAD's readiness to provide Egypt with technical support and expertise in areas related to trade and sustainable development, recognising the country's strides in improving food security and supply resilience.
