Egypt has paid over $1 billion in outstanding arrears to its foreign exploration partners in the oil and gas sector, with an additional $1.4 billion scheduled for repayment by the end of 2025, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said on Wednesday. He added that all Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRU) have been connected to the gas network. During the weekly press conference, Madbouly stressed the importance of consistent monthly payments and clearing arrears to increase local production.
