Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly announced that two Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRUs) will begin operations early next week, with gas to be pumped into the national grid as planned. Speaking during his weekly press conference, he addressed concerns over delays in FSRU deployment. He explained that the vessels were originally scheduled to enter service in early July, but the Iranian-Israeli conflict prompted efforts to accelerate the timeline. However, the process involved complex technical procedures and required approvals from international certification bodies, given the vessels' capacity of 750 million cubic feet per day and integration with the national grid. Madbouly confirmed that the delay was limited to three or four days and stressed that four FSRUs will serve Egypt, with an additional unit designated for joint use with Jordan.
