Egypt and China signed a memorandum of understanding on green and low-carbon development, as part of broader efforts to deepen environmental cooperation between the two countries. The agreement was signed by Egyptian Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad and Liu Sushe, deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, during a ceremony witnessed by Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and Chinese Premier Li Qiang. According to a Cabinet statement, the MoU aims to strengthen collaboration on climate action, promote sustainable development, and support the transition to a low-emission economy.
