Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said on Wednesday that the government is offering incentive packages to factories affected by temporary gas supply suspensions, as the country moves to address the energy shortfall by the end of the month. Speaking at a press conference, the prime minister said some factories were forced to halt operations due to the gas crisis, but officials are working closely with these businesses to ease the impact and agree on steps to mitigate losses. He added that two floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) are expected to arrive before the end of June, helping to resolve the supply issue. "If earlier solutions emerge, such as the return of gas flows, factories will be back online sooner than expected," he said. Prime Minister Madbouly emphasised that the measures being implemented will safeguard Egypt against future disruptions, ensuring the country is no longer dependent on specific sources like regasification ships.
