Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Karim Badawi, who inspected the vessel upon arrival, said the unit is the second of its kind operating in Egypt. EGAS expands LNG fleet In addition to the Alexandria-based unit and the existing FSRU at SUMED Port in Ain Sokhna, the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) has contracted two more vessels, which are expected to arrive soon. The expansion will bring the total number of FSRUs to four, enhancing the flexibility and resilience of Egypt's gas supply system during peak demand periods.
