Egypt's Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi inaugurated Saudi TAQA's new Integrated Operations Centre in Katameya on Tuesday. The centre will manage TAQA's activities in Egypt and act as a hub for its expansion across Africa, leveraging Egypt's strategic location and infrastructure. Minister Badawi praised TAQA's commitment to Egypt, highlighting opportunities for cooperation in production technology, mining, renewables, emissions reduction, safety, and energy efficiency. He also recognised Egypt's leadership in TAQA's carbon reduction efforts and welcomed its role in diversifying the country's energy sources through investment and innovation. TAQA Chairman Khaled Noah described the centre as a milestone that demonstrates the company's strong commitment to Egypt and its energy transition goals.
