Egypt's revenues from the Suez Canal rose 15.8 percent year-on-year to $551.5 million in April, the head of the canal authority said on Thursday. In April 2020, revenues stood at $476.2 million. "April 2021 has witnessed unprecedented growth in revenues, number of ships and tonnages." A total of 1,814 ships passed the Suez Canal with a total net load of 110 million tonnes in April, compared with 102 million tonnes in the same month last year, Rabie added.
