The mother of the Cambridge student Giulio Regeni has said she may publish 266 photographs of her son's tortured corpse unless European countries، including the UK، consider Egypt unsafe for travel. "We have had enough of commemorations — it is time for action،" said Paola Regeni after meeting EU officials in Brussels. The Italian PhD student vanished in Cairo on January 25 while studying trade unions. His body was found nine days later، amid allegations that he was killed by Egyptian security forces. The Egyptian authorities have repeatedly dismissed the allegations. A team of Egyptian investigators visited Rome in early May to make Italian Attorney General acquainted with the investigations.
