Minister of foreign affairs, Sameh Shoukry confirmed Tuesday Egypt's support for Arab League's decision on solidarity with Saudi Arabia, Al Masry Al Youm News reported. This came after a meeting with Arab ministerial group, where Shoukry stressed on Egypt's rejection to foreign interference in Arab countries' affairs. He pointed out that Egypt has cut its relations with Iran because of the difference in regional visions and Iran's interventions in the affairs of several Gulf countries. Meanwhile, on the Syrian situation and upcoming Geneva talks, Shoukry explained that Egypt is working on uniting the Syrian opposition and supporting the political process in order to form a transitional government, and hold democratic elections. He added that all Arab nations, such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, share the same Egyptian view regarding that course of action.
