Egypt's foreign minister Sameh Shoukry denied any diplomatic or political relations between Egypt and Iran since the Iranian revolution, Almasry Alyoum reported on Saturday. In an interview with Alarabiya TV channel aired on Friday, Shoukry said that Egypt has welcomed Yemeni former ministers to listen to their proposals about the situation in Yemen, revealing that it cut off the meetings because proposals were away from reality. "Egypt and Saudi Arabia share the same vision towards the issues that face the region," Shoukry said, affirming that relationship between Egypt and KSA is the pillar of Arab national security. Shoukry upheld the political solution in Syria according to Geneva's resolutions, asserting the stay of Bashar al-Assad on the top of the regime is the decision of Syrian people, expressing Egypt's reservation about Assad's violent practices against its people.
