Chairman of the board of Alexandria Port, Medhat Attiya announced Monday that bad weather forced closure of Alexandria and Dekheila Ports inlets for the third day in succession, Al Bawaba News reported. Attiya said that boats and ships have been prevented in or from the port until the weather clears, clarifying that the decision comes to prevent the collision of ships as well as ensuring navigation and maritime safety. He added that the wind speed reached 40 knots and wave height reached four meters, pointing out that these reasons could affect safety of ships.
