Alexandria Port Authority acting head, Fathy Taha announced Saturday that bad weather forced closure of Alexandria and Dekheila Ports inlets for the second day in succession, Al Bawaba News reported. Taha said that boats and ships have been prevented in or out from the port until the weather clears, clarifying that the decision comes to prevent the collision of ships as well as to ensure navigation and maritime safety. Since Thursday, Alexandria and parts of Egypt's northwestern cities have been under heavy rainfall accompanied by western winds. The governorate executive bodies have well prepared to face the rainfall, with the sewage company providing a number of cars in order to remove rain water.
