The Cairo Criminal Court will consider Wednesday the request of Attorney General to freeze the funds of the founder of Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, the Egyptian businessman Salah Diab, Al-Bawaba news reported. The freezing decision will include the funds of the shareholders of Al-Masry Al-Youm, and Diab's partner, tycoon Mahmoud Aal-Gammal, over accusations of unlawfully seizing lands belonging to the state. Diab, alongside his son, were arrested Sunday, over corruption accusations and possessing two unlicensed guns.
