Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyad al-Maliki arrived Sunday in Cairo to attend 144th session of the Arab League Council on foreign ministers' level, Al-Bawaba News reported. The council will discuss several topics of common interests to all Arab nations, including political, economic and social issues, as well as follow up on the implementation of decisions reached in the previous session. Arab foreign ministers will discuss the Palestinian issue and the latest developments in the Arab-Israeli conflict. They will tackle the efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis, which has left many refugees displaced, in the presence of UN's Special Envoy to Syria, Staffan De Mistura. Also, the ministers will focus on the situation in Libya, Iraq and Yemen while discussing solidarity with Lebanon and Sudan, as well as the situation in Somalia and Comoros. They will also concentrate on the Iranian occupation of the three UAE Arab islands, international cooperation in the fight against terrorism, disarmament and ridding the Middle East of nuclear weapons, in addition to weapons of mass destruction.
