Egypt's Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry said the Israeli-Palestinian dispute had not reached a compromise because of the indifference of the international community, al-Bawaba News reported Wednesday. "Powers of evil have used the Palestinian issue to recruit enthusiastic youths for their private agendas," Shoukry said at a meeting of the Arab Peace Initiative Commission held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo. Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas Abu Mazin attended the meeting. Shoukry added his country had always appreciated any serious international initiative to end the conflict and to establish an independent Palestinian state. "The current global circumstances require communicating with peace-loving countries through flexible mechanisms," he added.
