A sound bomb exploded Friday in Giza's Haram neighborhood with no casualties reported, Al-Bawaba News reported. Bomb disposal experts intensified their presence immediately in the blast scene to scan the area for other potential threats. Police Media Center stated that security forces are on high alert in order to secure Egyptian citizens during their celebrations of the Eid Al-Fitr (Feast of Fast-Breaking). Egypt has been hit by a string of deadly blasts claiming hundreds of lives, mostly among security personnel since the ousting of former president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
