Egypt's Interior Ministry sent Wednesday special security forces in coordination with the armed forces to help countering extremist terrorists in North Sinai, Shorouk news reported. Security source said that special forces from the Central Security sector, specialized in breaking into terrorist hotbeds, were sent to face the terrorist elements in North Sinai's Sheikh Zuwaid. Minister of Interior, Major-General Magdy Abdul Ghaffar was briefed on the situation from the security director of North Sinai, and issued orders to enhance security measures in the vicinity of police stations in North Sinai. The ministry deployed a large number of officers, and sniffer dogs to detect explosives in the streets.
