President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi did not ask for meeting the German Parliament Speaker, said Egypt's Ambassador to Berlin Mohamed Hegazi. He added, in a statement, that the meeting was scheduled in the President's agenda during his upcoming visit to Germany by the German side. The statement comes a day after the message sent by Speaker of German parliament Norbert Lammert to the Egyptian diplomat to cancel his meeting with Sisi in June. He attributed his decision to what he described as the human rights violations committed in Egypt under the current regime. On its hand, Egypt's Presidency stressed that they have not asked for conducting a meeting between the President and the Speaker of the German parliament. It added that the visit agenda has not been announced yet.
