A policeman was killed and 3 injured in Banha Sunday while two explosive packs detonated on the Cairo-Alexandria railway, delaying traffic in both directions, in separate attacks across Egypt, the media reported. Bomb squad, civil protection units and security forces immediately deployed to the crime scene to detect any other possible threat, while the Railroad Authority's maintenance team is currently fixing the railway to restore traffic. Meanwhile, a policeman was killed and three others wounded in an armed attack by masked men on a police checkpoint at the Banha district of Al Qalyubia governorate. Security forces moved quickly to the crime scene and searched the area for evidence in a bid to discover the perpetrators. The wounded were transferred to the Banha University Hospital for treatment.
