As Egypt marks the 4th anniversary of January 25th uprising, several bombings have left the country in shock and anticipation. Railway travel between Cairo and Alexandria was halted due to an explosion at Berkat El Sabaa railway station. Security forces rushed to the scene and scanned the area for other potential explosive packages. Two explosive packs in Menoufiya demolished two power lines in Quesna and Shebeen Al Kom. No casualties have been reported. Two perpetrators were killed while planting two explosive packages in Mahmoudeya village in Beheira. The blast destroyed two other power lines. Bomb squad officers and dogs were deployed to the scene and no other bombs were found. Two police officers were injured in an explosion in Heliopolis near Al Shams sports club. The injured were rushed to the nearest hospital for medical aid. The Revolutionary punishment movement, claimed responsibility for the bombing, according to state TV. The main gas line in El Asher City was bombed early Sunday. No casualties have been reported.
