Looking forward

The New Year, my dear Scales, as people born under the Cardinal Air sign of Libra (23 Sep-23 Oct) are sometimes called, ushers in a new and glorious period of plenty and prosperity. New Year's Eve will be an especially memorable one for Librans.
Whatever leftover bad feelings you've been harbouring from last month, my dear Librans, will be nothing but a distant memory by mid-January.
Scales are at once both passionate and secretive creatures. Sometimes, we know the terms of the suffering of romantic Librans but, true to character, they will not let is share it. Scales have seemingly pulled through tumultuous times with remarkably little psychological damage.
On the face of it, nothing seems to undermine the determination and self- confidence of Librans. But, those who know the Scales well realise that they have not emerged from the turmoil unscathed. Their pride has been bruised, and their egos humbled.
You're due for a lavish display of affection from a dear one when you least expect it, my dear Scales. You're in a rather sentimental mood to say the least. You'll be feeling especially nostalgic in the second week of January. And, you'll be ready to do whatever you can to bring back those wonderful feelings from the past. Just be sure it is possible for both you and your prospective partner.
You'll shape the present to echo and recreate the past. You want nothing more than to reminisce about good times with those you love. What are you waiting for? Get out those photo albums and make the calls. Or better still send flowers and drop e-mails.
Ruled by Mars, Eagles, as people born under the Fixed Water sign of Scorpio (24 Oct-23 Nov) are sometimes called, are brimming over with emotions in the New Year.
Stop playing the stoic clown, my dear Eagles. And stop blaming others for your misfortunes. Examine your motives more closely. Perhaps, you made one of your blithe comments, and hurt someone close and dear.
Please do not ride roughshod over the sensitivities of others. Don't jump to conclusions. You must have misread the instructions or even the rules of the game. Try starting again with a clean slate.
Your life will take on a new turn. At first change might appear to be perplexing, not quite what you imagined it to be. Eagles are good at sizing up problems and coming up with solutions. In January, they'll be called upon to resolve difficult dilemmas.
Eagles instinctively search for the right outlook to life. The month of January comes loaded with fresh challenges for Scales in the arena of romance and affairs of the heart. In the workplace, too, Eagles will be called upon to prove their mettle. Most Eagles will succeed in showing that they are worth their salt.
Rebelliousness against conventions comes easily to Centaurs as people born under the Mutable Fire sign of Sagittarius (24 Nov-23 Dec) are sometimes called.
Centaurs, also called Archers, are good at hurling darts. And, Archers don't appreciate being pushed around. But interaction with authority figures or older people might not run smoothly in January. Aim well, my dear Archers. Stand poised to defend yourself and your loved ones.
Humility is not something that comes naturally to headstrong Sagittarians. In January, there will be many humbling experiences for people born to this obstinate Sun sign. So curb your pride, my dear Sagittarians.
Retail therapy isn't always the answer to life's problems. In January, Centaurs will have to undergo many changes in their lives. You're not exactly the soul of frugality my dear Sagittarians, so just don't get too crazy in January. Lavishly spending on a loved one is not the only way to show you care. Stay within your budget. There are plenty of opportunities to embark on shopping sprees in the New Year. Curb your instincts, my dear Centaurs.
