Horoscopes:
Irrational urges
By Imhotep
It might feel more comfortable at the moment to shut your eyes, my dear Scales, as people born under the Cardinal Air sign of Libra (23 Sep-23 Oct) are sometimes called. In December, Librans are well advised to watch out against the unctuous flirtatiousness of mysterious strangers.
Young, unattached Libran women will be overcome by powerful passions and insatiable emotional yearnings especially around the festive season of Christmas, New Year's Eve and Eid Al-Adha. They are especially vulnerable to the unsolicited attentions of dubious Don Juans. Beware the man who speaks softly of love and marriage. Whatever you do my dear Libran women, do not stroke strange dogs.
The dreaded Libran fear of being abandoned by their lovers, an emotion they have experienced too much of in the past few months, will take hold again in the weeks ahead. December is a month when Librans will have to learn to let go of certain things they hold dear, or people they adore.
A typical Libran exhibits a sometimes frustrating indecision and prudence that paralyses them and might lead to inaction. This feeling of incertitude is especially pronounced in a Libran when life seems to change overnight from bright sunshine into utter darkness.
Characteristically apprehensive, many Librans habitually look out for trouble.
Some Librans are money-minded and in December they might fret more than a little about their financial situation. They have reason to be troubled. Fear not, Librans, your financial worries will soon dissipate. All will be well, Imhotep predicts. If you could just conquer your fear, you would be fine.
Though the wintry clouds cast shadows on Eagles, as people born under the Fixed Water sign of Scorpio (24 Oct-23 Nov) are sometimes called, they have no lingering power to block the sun.
Eagles are wise people, all things considered. Doubting Thomases by nature, Eagles never take things at face value. But in this season of love, Eagles are well advised not to shoot suspicious glances at their lovers without good cause. They must not jump to conclusions when they have no absolute proof of their suspicions. There is an opportunity for Eagles to build relationships free of jealousy and infidelity in February. It's a golden opportunity, so go ahead and grab it.
Some Eagles are particularly susceptible to a wide range of psychosomatic disorders which can be especially virulent when the chips are down. Recovery invariably depends on the frame of mind of the individual concerned. So cheer up lofty Eagles, look forward to a special candlelit dinner or a fireside chat.
Eagles do their own thing. Yes, press ahead. It doesn't matter what your loved ones -- or the world at large, for that matter -- think of you. All that counts now is that you are willing to devote yourself to this task at hand. Heavens help you.
Your past, my dear Archers, as people born under the Mutable Fire sign of Sagittarius (24 Nov-23 Dec) are sometimes called, is catching up with you in some very interesting ways. It is not as if an ex is stalking you, but you will soon discover that your past kindnesses are to be repaid either directly in kind, or perhaps karmically. You are entering a new phase of life -- and it is refreshing and passionately pleasurable.
Archers display a distinct flair for playing everything by ear. Imhotep predicts that in late December and early January, Archers will have ample opportunity to display their artistic talents. Archers -- especially those who are performing artists -- will make huge, fascinating leaps with their improvisations in the weeks ahead.
As December draws to a close, Archers will find themselves very much drawn to people they had not noticed before. Strangers will come your way, dear Sagittarians. Newcomers with refreshingly novel ideas. Life will be truly thrilling.
By late December, many Sagittarians will be on the move. Most Archers love to travel far and wide. Sagittarians are characteristically generous and sociable creatures. Few are loners, and prefer to travel in a group. If they do travel alone, they soon make friends. December will offer plenty of opportunities for new friendships.
Sagittarians are compulsive gamblers. In order to escape the drudgery of daily existence, they'll spot a bandwagon and haul themselves aboard, not knowing where exactly it's heading for.
Look out next week for Imhotep's reading of Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces
