Horoscopes:
Ramadan romance
By Imhotep
The search for common ground with friends and colleagues at work will preoccupy people born under the Cardinal Air sign of Libra (23 Sep-23 Oct) in the weeks ahead.
The sign of Love, as Libra is sometimes called, is among the loveliest in the zodiac. In Ramadan, you'll have the chance, my dear Librans, to show how much love you can give. Indeed, the Holy Month itself will turn out to be a demonstration of your devotion to the idea of love. Home would be the centre of your affections in Ramadan, my dear Librans. But, your love will know no bounds.
Jupiter, the Planet of Good Fortune, moved into Libra 15 September and Mars, the Action Planet, did likewise on 26 September. What a winning combination for Librans. Everything you do will be successful and anything you say would be gospel truth -- and music to the ears of your loved ones. The beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan marked the change with the Moon exiting Libra. And that explains why Librans will be less dreamy and more action-oriented this Ramadan.
People born under the Fixed Water sign of Scorpio (24 Oct-23 Nov) are in a sentimental mood this Ramadan. November is a month when you'll discover the freshness and beauty of life anew, my dear Eagles. If you are involved, expect to be staying indoors a bit more than you usually do. You wouldn't want to be more than a few inches apart from your partner.
If you're single -- well, that doesn't necessarily say you wouldn't stay that way for long.
The Eagle, and not the Scorpion, is seen as the mascot of this most versatile and daring Sun sign.
Eagles very rarely procrastinate. They don't defer important decisions indefinitely. My dear Eagles, Imhotep knows that you have big plans at the moment, but are hesitant about going ahead with your carefully thought- out schemes. The details of your plans are getting a bit hazy in your heads at the moment. Don't worry, once you put your heart to it, you can work wonders.
Listen to your inner voice in the weeks ahead. In November, there will be plenty of opportunity to express your innermost thoughts and feelings. This is especially so around the time of your birthday for those Eagles born in November.
But, a note of warning for Scorpions this November: you'll have to make a little go a long way. In any case Eagles instinctively know that the best things in life are often for free. So, who cares about money.
Centaurs were the intellectuals of ancient Roman mythology. And people born under the Mutable Fire sign of Sagittarius (24 Nov-23 Dec) are destined to use their intellect and imagination in November.
Archers, as Sagittarians are sometimes called, do not like to be hemmed in. They need lots of space, otherwise they become irritable, impatient and quite frankly bloody difficult. When cornered they start flinging arrows and become argumentative and aggressively blunt.
The Archers are the wanderers of the zodiac. And, Archers are in the mood to be quite bold and stare back a lot longer than you ordinarily might.
You'll be pleasantly surprised by the resulting verbal fireworks. As a matter of fact, fiery Archers habitually thrive on altercation, as long as it doesn't degenerate into bitter recriminations.
Archers love to debate and engage others in deep discussion. That's why John Kerry, a Sagittarian, won all three presidential debates in the run-up to the 2 November election. In November, there will be even more opportunities for Archers to indulge in hot debate.
In the arena of love and romance, too, Sagittarians will be kept busy. Archers are loyal as long as their love lasts. The problem is that they get bored easily. In November, there will be plenty of opportunities for Archers to flirt. And, Imhotep understands that Sagittarians are in an especially flirtatious mood these days.
