Egypt's Heba El-Torky won the title at the WSA Montreal squash Open in Canada Egyptian top seed number one Heba El-Torky won her 7th Women's Squash Association (WSA) title after beating New Zealand's Amanda Landers-Murphy 11-1 in the final match at the WSA Montreal squash open in Canada. The event, with a total money prize of $5,000, took place from 24-28 February. Landers-Murphy's injury forced her to retire during the final. In the semi final, El-Torky beat Wales Deon Saffery 11-5, 11-6, 7-11, 11-6. Landers-Murphy defeated New Zealand's Megan Craig 8-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-9. In the quarter-final, El-Torky beat Tamika Saxby 11-3, 7-11, 11-6, 11-2. El-Torky defeated Canadian Hollie Naughton 11-2, 12-10, 11-9 in round one.
