India's Joshna Chinappa won eighth at the WSA tour event after beating El-Torky 11-13, 11-8, 11-5, 3-11, 12-10 in the final match, with a total money prize of $15,000. El-Torky lost 3-2 and 12-10 to the Indian player, who ranks no. 2 in the world. En route to final, El-Torky defeated first-seeded Guyana Nicolette Fernandez 11-3, 11-6, 12-4, 12-10 in the semi final. In the quarterfinal, El-Torky beat third-seeded England's Emily Whitlock 7-11, 11-9,11-6, 6-11, 11-6. El-Torky defeated seventh-seeded Mexican Samantha Teran 15-13, 11-6, 5-11, 11-8 in the first round. El-Torky won her first WSA title this year at Liberty Bell Open in Berwyn, USA, with a monetary prize of $5,000. El-Torky beat American Sabrina Sobhy 11-5, 11-2, 11-8 in the final match.
