Basel's Egyptian maestro Mohamed Salah helped his team beat Grasshopper 4-0 after coming off the bench in the 65th minute. Salah has been starting recent matches on the bench and coming on as a second half substitute and this week he had a very impressive 25-minute cameo against Grasshopper as he helped his team score the third goal after some silky work in the build-up. Basel move to fourth after this game. Hull City's flying winger Ahmed Al-Mohamadi once again shined for his team as they beat a very strong Birmingham side 3-2 away from home. Al-Mohamadi had a very good game on the right flank as he constantly tested Birmingham's defence with some dangerous crosses and direct running but he couldn't assist on any of the three goals scored by his side. The only missing part about Al-Mohamadi's game this week was that he did not test the keeper. Despite this he was one of the best performers on the pitch as he helped his team remain in fourth place. Mido and Adam Al-Abd did not participate in this week's games for their teams for lack of fitness and injury respectively as Brighton finally won away from home after some dismal away performances and results in recent weeks while Barnsley drew away from home against Bolton. Brighton's win over Huddersfield 2-1 take them to seventh place while Barnsley's draw take them to 20th place. In Belgium, there was a performance to remember by an Egyptian but this time it wasn't one of the players. Hani Ramzi, the Egyptian legend, took over as Lierse's head coach at the beginning of the week and didn't waste any time in showing what he can do. In only his first game as manager of the team, Ramzi, who played for German side Bremen for over a decade after starting off with Egyptian powerhouse Ahli, guided Lierse to a 2-0 win over Gent at home. Ahmed Said Okka played the full game and had a five-star performance as he marshaled the defence extremely well while Mohamed Al-Gabbas come on in the 68th minute and showed some good touches and fought hard to ensure his team sees out their opponents. The win takes Lierse to 13th place in the league table. In Italy, finally and after waiting for so long to see it happening, Ahmed Hegazi played his first competitive game for Fiorentina as they beat Atalanta 4-1 at home. The young Egyptian defender came off the bench in the 78th minute to ensure his side left the pitch with all three points and looked very comfortable in his short cameo. Hegazi and all Egyptian fans will be hoping he gets more game time after making his debut this week. Fiorentina moves to fourth place after this win. In Turkey, Amr Zaki's Elazigspor drew 1-1 against Istanbul BB away from home as they scored a last minute equaliser. Zaki started the game and had an average outing as he couldn't threaten the goal as much as he would have liked and came off in the 70th minute for Gurler who himself scored in the 93rd minute to level the scores. Elazigspor remains at the bottom. In the UAE, Shikabala had a quiet game by his standards as his team were defeated 2-1 against Dibba Al Fujairah away from home. Shika wasn't his usual self as he couldn't create clear cut chances neither for himself nor his teammates as they lost against a team that had not won a single game in the league up until that moment. Al Wasl drops to eighth after this defeat. Egyptain maestro Mohamed Zidan will play with his team against Al Ahli away from home later this week.
