Hull City's winning run stopped as they lost to Cardiff City away from home by two goals to one. Al-Mohamadi passed a late fitness test as he didn't train all week because of a groin injury and played the full game. But the injury seemed to have had an effect on Al-Mohamadi's game as he wasn't as influential as in recent times but he still had an above average game and constantly tested Cardiff's defenders with his dangerous crosses. Hull City remains in fourth place in the Premiership. Still in England, Ahmed Hossam “Mido” finally made his long awaited return from injury in his side's 1-0 loss to Huddersfield Town at home. Mido came on in the 63rd minute as his Barnsley were searching for an equaliser but unfortunately neither Mido nor his teammates managed to find a way through Huddersfield's defence. Mido lacked service but showed his hunger and desire to do well as he chased balls and fought till the last minute of the game. Barnsley currently lie in 21st place in the league table, just above the relegation zone so Mido and co will have to make sure they improve their results in coming games. In the absence of Adam Al-Abd, Brighton played a very entertaining game against Wolves away from home as the game ended in a 3-3 draw. Al-Abd missed the game after suffering a hamstring injury last week and reports suggest he could miss out next week also. Brighton stays eighth after the game. Off to Belgium, Lierse had another disappointing performance to add to their collection of this season as they lost at home 3-1 against Beerschot. Ahmed Said Okka played the full game and had a relatively good game compared to his teammates while Mohamed Al-Gabbas came on as a second half substitute when his team were 2-0 down but he couldn't find the back of the net. Lierse drops to 14th place. In Switzerland, our young star Mohamed Salah played with Basel in the cup this week as they beat Chiasso 4-1 away from home. Salah played for 87 minutes and had a very good game as he assisted on his side's first goal in the first minute of the game when he sent Frei through on goal who converted with a neat finish. Salah himself had several attempts on goal but the keeper stood firm in front of our young pharaoh. In Italy, nothing changed for Ahmed Hegazi as he once again watched his side torment AC Milan away from home as the game ended 3-1 to Fiorentina. Hegazi is still waiting for a chance to prove what he can do on the pitch but with four wins in a row for his side it will be extremely difficult for Montella to change any of his players. Fiorentina move up to fourth place after the victory. In Turkey, Elazigspor produced a dismal performance at home as they suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat against Keyserispor. Amr Zaki returned from injury and came on in the 60th minute but couldn't get any chances to score as his team was totally out of sorts and could not offer anything special in the game. Elazigspor stays at the bottom following the loss. Moving from Europe to the UAE, our Egyptian maestro Mohamed Zidan “Zizou” single-handedly won the game for Banni Yas as he scored two magnificent late goals to guide his team to a 3-1 win over El Nasr. Zidan scored his first goal in the 88th minute when he received the ball inside the box and used his trickery to deceive two defenders and send an unstoppable shot in the top corner with his left foot. His second goal came in the 94th minute as he once again received the ball inside the box from the left flank and side footed it beautifully in the far corner. Zizou was outstanding throughout the match and showed tremendous composure and technique to win the game for his team. Zizou's Banni Yas moves up to third place. Still in the UAE, Shikabala did not have the same impact as Zizou as his side played out a 0-0 draw against Al Jazira at home. As we're used to, Shika was a joy to watch with his slick moves and infinite number of tricks but couldn't assist or score any goals as his team stumbled at home. El Wasl stays in eighth place after the draw. AFRICAN AND ARAB: In England, Arouna Kone scored a consolation goal for Wigan as they lost 2-1 against West Brom. Still in England, Ivorian mega star Yaya Toure played a great game for Man City as they beat Tottenham 2-1 at home. John Obi Mikel played the full game for Chelsea as they drew 1-1 with Liverpool at home. In France, Ivorian star Salomon Kalou scored the only goal of the game as Lille beat Brest at home. Still in France, Algerian star Fouad Kadir scored a brace for Valenciennes as they beat Bastia 3-2 away from home. Ghanaian superstar Andre Ayew scored the first goal of the game for Marseille as they drew 2-2 against Nice at home.
