Round-up: Egyptians overseas
Published in FilGoal on 12 - 11 - 2012

Performance of the week
With the score tied at 1-1 one minute from the end, Mohamed Zidan opened his league account with Bani Yas emphatically, scoring a late brace to win the game for his team.
Salah assists
Egypt winger Mohamed Salah enjoyed an impressive week with Basel, setting up his side's winner against Videoton in the Europa League.
Salah then bagged two more assists in the Swiss champions 4-1 victory over lower-division Chiasso in the cup.
In England, Ahmed Elmohamady saw his three-match winning streak with Hull City come to an end with a 2-1 Championship defeat at Cardiff.
Mido finally made his debut for Barnsley, but could not prevent his team from suffering a fourth straight league defeat to Huddersfield.
Center-half Adam El-Abd was the only Egyptian to avoid defeat in England as his side Brighton were denied by a late goal to draw 3-3 at Wolves.
Shikabala had a less-than-impressive game with Al-Wasl, who were held to a goalless draw by Al-Jazira at home.
Amr Zaki made his first appearance in five games for Elazigspor, who suffered a 4-1 defeat to Kayserispor to remain bottom of the Turkish Super Lig.
Merreikh and Egypt number one Essam Al-Hadari could not make up for his epic error against Leopards in the Confederation Cup as his side could only draw in the second leg to wave goodbye from the semis.
In Belgium, Ahmed Saied ‘Ouka' played 90 minutes and Mohamed Al-Gabbas came on as a second-half sub, but Lierse lost 3-1 at home to Germinal Beerschot.
In the same match, Ahmed Samir Farag made the bench for the first time in several months following his knee injury.
