Polish coach Henryk Kasperczak was re-appointed as Mali's national team head coach after signing a four-year contract on Tuesday. The 67-year-old will replace Frenchman Patrice Carteron, who has recently resigned from his post. He was in charge of Mali form 2001 until 2002 and guided them to a fourth-place finish at the 2002 African Nations Cup on home soil. Kasperczak, who had other stints in Africa with Ivoary Coast, Tunisia, Morocco and Senegal, will be facing the challenge of leading Mali to the 2015 African Cup of Nations and the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.
