Egyptian giants Ahly are hit with a series of injuries ahead of next month's FIFA club World Cup in Morocco.
According to the club's official website, the technical staff has decided to cancel Monday's friendly against Maqassa to avoid more injures ahead of the tournament.
"Midfielder Abdallah El-Said was not able to complete Saturday's training session as he suffers muscular pains. The player will undergo further examinations to determine the injury's extent," Ahly's doctor Ehab Aly told the club's official website.
"Defender defender Sherif Abdel-Fadil returned after recovering from a knee complaint, but playmaker Walid Soliman is suffering from ankle pains following the training session," he added.
Reserve goalkeeper Ahmed Adel Abdel-Moneam added to the Red Devils' problems due to a knee injury.
"Abdel-Moneam's injury is a minor one and he is expected to rejoin the training on Sunday," concluded Ahly's doctor.
Ahly will represent Africa in the Club World Cup for the fifth time after winning the African Champions League earlier this month at the expense of South Africa's Orlando Pirates.
They will start their campaign in Morocco on 14 December when they face Asian Champions Guangzhou Evergrande of China in the quarter-finals.
The winner of this clash will face European champions Bayern Munich in the semis on 17 December.
Ahly's best place was a third-place finish in the 2006 edition in Japan.
