Ahly's Abdel-Fadil to miss Club World Cup opener
The Ahly defender will not be available for Guangzhou Evergrande's clash as he suffered a calf injury

Versatile defender Sherif Abdel-Fadil has been ruled out of Ahly's FIFA Club World Cup opener against Guangzhou Evergrande of China after picking up a calf injury, the club said on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old failed to complete Ahly's training session on Wednesday and the team doctor said he should rest for three days.
Abdel-Fadil's injury will give coach Mohamed Youssef a defensive selection headache after veteran left-back Sayed Moawad was ruled out of the tournament with a hamstring injury.
Ahly face Guangzhou Evergrande in Agadir on Saturday and the winner will set up a mouthwatering clash against European champions Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
