Gyan tries to convince Welbeck of Ghana switch
Sunderland forward Danny Welbeck is under pressure from his teammate Asamoah Gyan to represent the Blackstars in the future

Sunderland's Ghanaian star Asamoah Gyan revealed on Monday that he had tried to convince his teammate Danny Welbeck to join the Ghanaian national team, and that he hopes to succeed in his mission.
"I have spoken to him, and I think he might play for Ghana, but I am not really sure of that for now," Gyan told kickoff.com.
Born in England to Ghanaian parents, Welbeck has represented different England youth teams but he hasn't yet played for the Three Lions.
"He's young and he has not made up his mind yet. He says we should give him enough time to think about it. But we all hope he comes as he is such a fantastic young player," Gyan added.
Welbeck is on a season-long loan deal at Sunderland from Manchester United and has been on impressive form, scoring six goals in 21 Premier League games.
He is surrounded by many Ghanaian players at Sunderland like Gyan, Sulley Muntari and John Mensah, who hope that he will join them on the national team very soon.
