Welbeck will “definitely” play for England
Sunderland's striker Danny Welbeck has ended speculations concerning his international career and committed his future to England

The England-born player, who has Ghanaian parents, made his debut for the Three Lions last Tuesday, ironically against Ghana, but he can still switch nations until he plays an official FIFA game with either national side.
The 20-year old striker said after the game that he is still considering his options, especially as his Sunderland teammates Asamoah Gyan, John Mensah and Sulley Muntari have been trying hard to persuade him to play for the Black Stars.
"I got misquoted on one of the questions. My future looks like it's with England, definitely”, Welbeck was quoted as saying on Manchester United's official website.
"I've been in Manchester all my life and I'm a Manc through and through. I've played for England at all the youth levels up to the Under 21s and it just felt like progression to graduate to the seniors and, the other day, it happened as well.
"I've got both countries in my heart and have a couple of cousins the Ghana end. We had a laugh after the game as they were booing me as well! It was a bit of a mad moment for me but obviously I'm delighted to get off the mark," he said.
Welbeck made a huge impact this season in the Premier League during his season-long loan at Sunderland, coming from Manchester United. Scoring six league goals and producing a string of excellent displays he earned his first senior call last week by England boss Fabio Capello
