Zamalek assistant coach denies players will strike Zamalek's assistant coach denies all reports suggesting that players plan to strike over unpaid dues
Zamalek's assistant coach Oussama Nabih confirmed on Monday that the team will train normally on Tuesday, denying all reports suggesting that the players would boycott Tuesday's training. Several reports suggested that the players would boycott the team's training until they receive salary installments that date back to last season. The Egyptian powerhouse failed to meet its obligations, despite making several promises to the players over recent weeks. "All reports which suggested that the players would strike are completely false," Nabih told Ahram on Monday. "The players demanded the team's coach solve their financial problems with the club's board and he promised the players he would find a solution,” he added Zamalek have snatched a difficult qualification to the CAF Champions league's group stages following to 2-2 away draw against Ethiopian side Saint George on Sunday. In the domestic league, the White Knights produced a string of strong performances as they lead their group with 30 points following ten successive wins, to make the best league start ever in the club's history. Zamalek will face Petrojet on Thursday in the Egyptian league.
