Egypt conceded their second straight defeat at the Handball World Championship after losing 29 -24 (16-11) to hosts Spain on Monday. The Egyptian team has struggled against the European giants who extended their domination throughout the game. Egypt have lost their first game against Hungary 32-23 in group D opener on Saturday. Following to Monday's result, Egypt will be in a must-win situation on Tuesday when they face Algeria in the third matchday to secure a place in the second round. The first four teams in each group will qualify to the next round. Earlier on the day Croatia thrashed Algeria 31-20 to lead the group D.
