Egypt receive offer to face Tunisia in friendly ahead of Nations Cup

Egypt received an offer to face North African rivals Tunisia in a friendly game in the UAE ahead of this month's Africa Cup of Nations, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on Wednesday.
The Pharaohs , who failed to qualify for the Nations Cup for the second time in a row, are currently holding a training camp in UAE to prepare for their upcoming clash against Zimbabwe in a World Cup qualifier in March.
They will play two friendly games against Ghana and Ivory Coast on 10 and 14 January respectively.
"We received an official request from the Tunisian FA to play Egypt in UAE after Ivory Coast's friendly," EFA official Mahmoud El-Shamy said on the association's website.
"We will pass the offer to coach Bob Bradley, who will have the final word."
Meanwhile, Tunisia are preparing for the Nations Cup, which will start on 19 January in South Africa. They will play in Group D alongside Ivory Coast, Algeria and Togo.
The Pharaohs lost 1-0 to Tunisia in their last friendly game against the Carthage Eagles last October.
