Egyptian Football Association confirms faith in manager Bradley EFA chairman Gamal Allam praises performance of American coach Bob Bradley, vows to resume domestic football competitions
Egyptian Football Association (EFA) chairman Gamal Allam has expressed his full confidence in national team manager Bob Bradley and his coaching staff. “We are seeking stability for the team and we are really satisfied with Bradley's performance, especially as we are top of the group in the World Cup qualifiers,” Allam,who took the charge of the EFA last week,was quoted as saying on the association's official website. “I will meet Bradley on Thursday after the delegation arrives from the UAE to discuss his preparation programme. We have already received friendly game offers from Saudi Arabia and Iraq,” he added. Egypt will not play any competitive games until March next year when they host Zimbabwe in a World Cup qualifier. Allam said the association was in ongoing negotiations with the security authoritiesto resume domestic football competitions after a nine-month stoppage since thePort Said tragedy. “We will give the martyrs' families all their rights,” he claimed. The Pharaohs have just finished their training camp in the UAE, during which they beat DR Congo 3-0 and lost against Tunisia 1-0 in friendlies.
