The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported a rise in casualties from ongoing Israeli attacks, despite more than fifty days having passed since the ceasefire agreement took effect. According to the ministry, two Palestinians were killed, one of them recently recovered, and 11 others injured over the past 48 hours. It warned that emergency and civil defense teams remain unable to reach several victims still trapped under rubble or lying in the streets. The latest figures bring the death toll since the ceasefire began on 11 October 2025 to 354, with 906 injuries and 606 bodies recovered. The ministry added that the overall toll from Israeli military operations since 7 October 2023 has risen to 70,100 killed and 170,983 injured. The deteriorating conditions have intensified humanitarian alarm. UNICEF said it documented around 9,300 cases of acute malnutrition among children under five in Gaza during October. The agency warned that worsening malnutrition threatens thousands of children, especially with winter weather accelerating disease spread. It added that large quantities of winter aid remain blocked at Gaza's borders and called for the safe, rapid, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian supplies. Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas called for a global day of mobilization against Israel's actions, coinciding with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. The group accused Israel of "daily violations" of the ceasefire, including bombardment, targeted killings, and restrictions on humanitarian aid, and said settlement expansion and "Judaization policies" in the West Bank and Jerusalem continue. Hamas said these actions constitute "blatant violations of international law," insisting that Palestinian land "will remain Palestinian and will not be legitimized for occupation." In Europe, Switzerland announced it had evacuated 13 additional injured children from Gaza for medical treatment. The Swiss State Secretariat for Migration said the children and 51 accompanying family members were transported from Gaza to Jordan before arriving in Switzerland, where they will receive care across eight cantons while undergoing asylum procedures. Switzerland previously evacuated 20 injured children and 78 relatives under the same humanitarian initiative. In France, the anti-terrorism prosecutor requested the opening of a war-crimes investigation into the deaths of two French children killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza in October 2023. However, the country's war-crimes unit said there was insufficient basis to pursue allegations of genocide or crimes against humanity. The children—Janna Abu Daher, 6, and Abd Al-Rahim Abu Daher, 9—were killed when a missile struck their bedroom in northern Gaza. Their grandmother, supported by the Human Rights League, had filed a complaint alleging "murder" and "genocide." Marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres renewed his call to end what he described as the "illegal occupation" of Palestinian territory. He said Palestinians are entitled to "dignity, justice, and self-determination," and stressed the need for "irreversible progress" toward a two-state solution to ensure lasting peace and security. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the international community to strengthen support for Palestinian rights and reject what it described as silence and inaction that have allowed Israel to evade accountability.
