American Bradley promises to lead Egypt for World Cup Pharaohs manager vows to 'fulfill Egyptian dream' to qualify for 2014 World Cup during football association press conference, Wednesday
American manager Bob Bradley confirmed he is willing to remain coach of the Egyptian national team until the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, during a press conference held at the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) headquarters, Wednesday. "I will stay in my position here trying to fulfil the Egyptian dream to qualify for the World Cup," the 54-year-old former US coach said. The pharaohs, who won three successive African Cup of Nations trophies (2006, 2008 and 2010) have not qualified for the World Cup since 1990. "We are using friendlies and closed camps to prepare for the next match. We will start with UAE camp," Bradley added. Egypt will play two friendly games against Congo and Tunisia on 12 and 16 October in the UAE amid preparations for 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifiers. Egypt is not slated to play any competitive games until next year, when they will host Zimbabwe in their third Group G game in March. Egypt is currently topping the group with six points in two games after beating Mozambique and Guinea. Technical staff announced the 28-man squad for the upcoming training camp, for more details see the full list here.
