Egypt fall two spots in FIFA global ranking
Pharaohs drop to 40 in FIFA world football rankings, second among Arabs and fifth in Africa

Egypt have fallen two places to 40 in October's FIFA world football rankings, which were announced on Wednesday.
The Pharaohs are back in their August position after jumping two spots last month.
The winners of seven African Cup of Nations trophies are fifth among African teams and second among Arabs. Ivory Coast are still the leading African team at 16, Algeria are up four places to 24, and Mali are up five places to 27.
Spain stayed top of FIFA world rankings while South American teams surged into the top 10 after playing 2014 World Cup qualifiers last month. The United States rose one place to 32. Spain, the World Cup winner, leads a European 1-2-3 ahead of Germany and Portugal, which climbed one place.
Under the leadership of American manager Bob Bradley, Egypt are preparing for their World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe in March.
The Pharaohs were knocked out in the first round of 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifiers after losing 4-3 on aggregate to the Central African Republic.
