Zamalek midfielder Ferjani Sassi has picked up a thigh injury on international duty with Tunisia and will be sidelined for 10 days. The 29-year had to quit the game against DR Congo 1-0 last Sunday after feeling pains in his muscle and underwent scans on Monday. "Youssef Msakni and Ferjani Sassi were subjected to medical tests on Monday and the results confirmed they need a 10-day rest. Consequently they won't be available for the games against Algeria and Mali," a statement posted on the Facebook page of the Tunisian Football Federation (TFF) read. The Carthage Eagles are scheduled to play Algeria and Mali on 11 and 15 June respectively during the current international break but Sassi is also expected to miss Zamalek's league game against Aswan on 16 June as he will need rehabilitation. Sassi has been a key player for Zamalek over the past three seasons but he has been at the center of the debate as his contract expires this season and he hasn't inked yet a new deal.
