Tunisia's lively winger Youssef Msakni has been dropped from the squad that will play against Botswana and Egypt in next week's Nations Cup qualifiers due to injury, the Tunisian football federation (TFF) announced on Tuesday.
The Carthage Eagles will face minnows Botswana on Saturday in Gaborone before hosting Egypt four days later.
"The [Qatari side] Lekhwiya winger suffers muscular pain and he needs rehab," read a statement on the TFF official website on Tuesday.
Tunisia winger Saber Khalifa will also miss the two clashes due to a calf injury. According to Tunisia's doctor, the 28-year-old needs ten days of treatment to resume training.
Tunisia need only one point from the upcoming two games to secure a place in next year's Africa Cup of Nations.
They are leading group G with ten points, three ahead of second-placed Senegal and four clear of Egypt with two matches to spare.
